Tanggedu Waterfall

Yesterday, we were having our breakfast when Fr Kus invited us to visit Tanggedu waterfall.
After preparing all our supplies, we then drove a four-wheeled vehicle crossed
Mondu Village and Prainatang traditional village. It took us about 2 hours to
reach this place.

Tanggedu Waterfall lies in Tanggedu Village, Kanatang District, East Sumba Regency, East
Nusa Tenggara Province. It has a characteristic form of rock relief that is
very unique. This waterfall is less than 46 km north of the Waingapu city.

Along the way to the waterfall spot, we were amazed by the view of savanna and
traditional houses. However, the road access to this site is not good enough
and we had to park our car at the homes of local residents and continued our
trip by walking about 2 km trough savanna to the waterfall spot.

Arriving at the Tanggedu area, it’s like we were in a different world, we were greeted with a beautiful panorama of Tanggedu waterfall. The waterfall is quite unique, it has
two rock cliffs and the pure clean water flow flows between these two cliffs. I
think the combinations of the water and the cliffs is what makes this place so
special. It's a diamond of nature, it’s of one of Sumba's
hidden paradises. We have to handle it with care or we will lose it.

We spent two hours enjoying the spot before we drove back home.
